The world’s top professional female surfers will be back in Oceanside for the 13th annual Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro on October 3 – 4, 2020 with a unique California vs the U.S. Team Competition. Sixteen of the best surfers from CA, HI and FLA will compete head-to-head to help answer the question of which state produces the best surfers!
In addition to the CA vs the U.S. event, the 2020 Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro will feature a second team competition between eight 2-person teams that will consist of one Championship Tour surfer and one Qualifying Series surfer per team. All results from the weekend will accumulate points for both Team CA or Team U.S and for the individual 2-person teams. Prize money will be awarded to every member of the winner between Team CA and Team U.S. and the top-scoring 2-person team.
The event features a star-studded lineup of surfers, including the top 3 ranked surfers in the world and 6 of the top 12. Some of the surfing royalty coming to Oceanside include #1 ranked and 4-time World Champion, Carissa Moore, #2 ranked and US Olympian Caroline Marks, #3 ranked Lakey Peterson, 6th ranked Tatiana Weston-Webb, #7 ranked Courtney Conlogue, 12th ranked Sage Erickson, and many of the young stars of tomorrow such as Alyssa Spencer, Caity Simmers, Samantha Sibley, Tia Blanco, Gabriela Bryan, Zoe McDougall, Vaihiti Inso, Brianna Cope and more.
The event is sanctioned by the World Surf League (WSL) and will likely be the only WSL women’s event in the ocean in the US in 2020.
